Overview

Available in three editions; Innovator for Business Analysts - Personal Edition (Free BPMN 2.0), Professional Edition (for the single-user) or Enterprise Edition (for multi-user environments and collaborative teams), Innovator supports all aspects of the Business Analyst role. Business Analysts can use it with both BPMN 2.0 and UML, enabling high-level analysis and process landscape work, right through to detailed business process specification for IT applications and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA).

Users can import business descriptions, such as the entities involved, process sequences and business rules. These can even be simple Microsoft Word documents that can then be connected to a BPMN 2.0 business model or linked through to UML 2.3 classes, class diagrams etc. A range of whiteboard options or overview diagrams ensures precise model-to-model visualization.

By using an underlying model server,  BPMN business models and UML models can also be mapped to conceptual data models. If the business models are modified the possible effects on the software development and database design can be analysed immediately.
